Three levels “Client-Server “architecture

1C: Enterprise 8.0 is the multi-user system that supports simultaneous work of up to 200 users and more. In 1С Enterprise 8.0 system the three-level architecture "Client - Server" is realized. The 1С Enterprise 8.0 Server works on a separate computer. The client program, users work with, cooperates with the 1С Enterprise 8.0 Server, and the server, in case of necessity, addresses to a Database Server. In addition, both 1С Enterprise 8.0 Server and Database Server can be physically installed on same computer as well as on different in order to optimize a load distribution between servers.

Universal data exchange mechanism 

The universal data exchange mechanism is provided both for creating a single 1C:Enterprise – based business systems for geographically spread company, and data exchanging among different information systems.

Web based interface

For remote access to the database, it is possible to use Web expansion of the 1С Enterprise 8.0 system. Using Web-server technologies (Microsoft.NET) and 1С: Enterprise 8.0 mechanisms (COM-connection), Web-expansion provides the user interface for a manipulation with the 1C:Enterprise 8.0 database, by this enlarging application area of the software. It makes possible to access applications of new users via Web interface, furthermore to access application from computers, on which 1С: Enterprise 8.0 platform is not installed. It could be mobile users, fellows of territorially removed divisions, as well as clients of web-portals and on-line shops. 
Web expansion allows organizing access to 1С: Enterprise 8.0 data from existing Web-pages and Web-applications, as well as creating ready to use Web applications able to use 1С:Enterprise 8.0 databases.
